Aboard a lemsteraak is a good place to be. Originally built for fast sailing races, this type of sailboat can still be used for that as needed. But it doesn’t always have to be hard. During company outing sailing IJsselmeer we offer you and your team a relaxing, or on the contrary exciting, day depending on your wishes.
Anyone from your team or your colleagues who would like to help on board is welcome. The crew gladly explains how everything works and even hands over the helm. Do you prefer to linger in the cozy cockpit while waves and levees pass you by? Also good. Anyway: have a pleasant trip!
If we go sharp to windward, tube water can come over the ship. Therefore, professional sailing gear is on board for all crew members. When the wind is strong, life jackets also come on deck.
With our professional crew, who have also participated in sailing races with the Lemsteraak themselves, we are prepared for all scenarios.
There are numerous possibilities for your company outing sailing IJsselmeer on a lemsteraak. Below is a sample package. Of course, we are very flexible with the program depending on your wishes. For example, you can choose a team building outing, a regatta (sailing race) or even a meeting on a lemsteraak.

Thanks to the high top speed of this racing ship, several stops are possible. For example, we can walk around the historic fortress island “Pampus” through the forts, visit the Wadden Islands, go to the port of Volendam and much more.
| 10:00 | Reception by the crew with coffee, tea and homemade cookies. The skipper will welcome you and tell you a little more about the ship. |
| 10:30 | The mooring lines break loose for your sailing trip. On the way to open water, you will pass the Groote Zeesluizen, the Muiderslot and the Royal Muiden Marina. |
| 11:00 | The sails are going up. If you like, you can help hoist sails, steer and navigate. |
| 12:30 | In the tub we serve a delicious sandwich lunch. |
| 13:00 | With enough wind, you can sail to Volendam for a walk on “De Dijk. If there is less wind, you can visit the famous fortress island of Pampus, part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. |
| 15:00 | On deck, drinks from the bar will be served and a tasty “drinks tray” with farmhouse cheese, olives and nuts. |
| 17:00 | You are back in Muiden again. The end of a beautiful day of sailing. |
You can rent the lemsteraak Grote Jager for a company outing of a whole day, a day part/evening or a two-day sailing trip where you can stay overnight in a hotel.
Our sailing ship Lemsteraak Grote Jager has her berth at Herengracht t/o 43 in Muiden. A short walk from the berth are two large (free) parking lots. You cannot park on the Herengracht, but you can load/unload.

From both parking lots, follow the hiking trails to “Ferry Pampus.” The Great Hunter is located near the ferry service.
