Salon Boat
This beautiful saloon boat is Rederij Belle’s smallest saloon boat. She was built in 1913 at shipyard Tiebout on the Amstel River. Several years ago, the salon boat was completely restored with the luxury and grandeur of the 1920s. Glossy mahogany wood, cut glass and original Art Deco details adorn the interior.
The cockpit tent opens fully, as does the sunroof, and can accommodate 10 to 20 people. In April 2011, the salon boat was commissioned by Rederij Belle and christened “Emma. She has since been made fully electric and sails whisper quiet and completely emission-free.
Amstel & the Vecht
With our Emma, you can take a beautiful cruise on the Amstel River and Amsterdam’s canals. A cruise is possible in any season and weather. In nice, warm weather, we can open part of the ship so you can enjoy the fresh sailing breeze. In colder weather, you will be nice and dry and warm during the cruise, the salon boat is well heated by heat panels.
The Emma offers an intimate setting for your wedding party on a boat, corporate event or even as a party boat or funeral boat in Amsterdam. Thus, with a cruise on the salon boat Emma, you are always in the right place!

Amsterdam & the Vecht
The Emma has several embarkation points in Amsterdam, on the Vecht, the Amstel and surrounding waters. Exactly where you board, you decide in advance in consultation with our reservation staff. It is also possible to get off at a different place than where you got on. The advantage is that you can navigate a larger area and not travel the route twice. You must have alternative transportation to the pick-up point. Of course, we can arrange that for you.
Luxury boat arrangements for special occasions
Our salon boat Dame van Amstel sails through Amsterdam as well as on the Amstel and the Vecht: two beautiful rivers with a character all their own. On the Vecht, you cruise past countless country houses and small castles, often surrounded by the lushest gardens with exuberant hydrangeas. You will pass small tea domes, cute bridges and the most beautiful villages.
The Amstel River flows between Amsterdam and Uithoorn. Still in Amsterdam, the cruise leads past highlights of the city, such as the Magere Brug and theater Carré. Further out on the Amstel, you sail past the picturesque towns of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel and Nes aan de Amstel. The river is relatively high here, so you are “sailing higher,” so to speak, than the surrounding pastures and farms. That alone is a unique experience.

The Emma salon boat can carry up to 20 people. You and your party can dine extensively at the table.
The Vecht is known for its romance. The many beautiful wedding venues on the banks of the Vecht are proof of that. In most municipalities through which the Vecht flows, you can get married with the officiant aboard our ship.
Beauty is on the outside and inside
The times of the cruise on the saloon boat Emma can be adjusted entirely to your wishes. So you can take an afternoon trip with a High Tea or a beautiful evening on The amsterdam canals or the Amstel River. You can also combine your cruise with dinner aboard the salon boat or a running dinner along excellent restaurants in Amsterdam’s canals. Limitations are not really there, opportunities abound!
