The Adeline originates from Germany where it was first used as a dining-cruise ship for tourists visiting the Siebengebirge. The boat made cruises on the Rhine and, at the time, could host groups of 150 people. Over the years, the vessel fell into disrepair. Eventually, Jan Huisman from Amsterdam purchased the ship and began reconstructing Adeline’s steelwork. In 2006, Rederij Belle took over Adeline and completed the final renovations.
Saloon Boat Adeline has been restored to its 1920s ambiance, complete with elegant, original details. The ship is also fully equipped so you can enjoy your cruise with contemporary comfort and superb catering. The Adeline is the largest private boat that can sail through the Amsterdam canals and can accommodate groups of 20 to 60 people.
With Adeline, you can create a perfect cruise through the Amsterdam Canals or on the Amstel or Vecht Rivers. Furthermore, these cruises can be in enjoyed in any season and any weather. In fair weather, a section of the ship can be opened so you and your
guests can enjoy the sun and sea breeze. On cold days, you stay dry and warm throughout your trip in the centrally-heated cabin. No matter when or where, Adeline always offers a delightful cruise.
The central canals of Amsterdam are not only lovely to sail but they are also a world-class monument earning a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010. Built during the 16th and 17th centuries, the canals became a destination for wealthy financiers from the commercial world. The beautiful homes and monuments along the banks are a testament to how the city was enriched by the waterways. A cruise through the canals of Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht offer an intimate look at these houses and landmarks and are a highlight for many of the international visitors to Amsterdam.
Adeline allows you and your company to sail through this beautiful and culturally-rich area. During a consultation with your captain, you can create your ideal route through the canals and may even sail in areas that ordinary saloon boats are not allowed. If you wish, a tour guide can also come aboard to give you a detailed explanation of the history of Amsterdam and the canal belt.
The timing of your Adeline cruise can be adjusted according to your wishes. You can have an afternoon trip with a High Tea or a nice evening sail through the bustling city of Amsterdam. You can also combine your cruise with dinner on board or at one of the many excellent restaurants on the banks of the canals. Whatever your wishes, Rederij Belle can make it possible.

Your cruise can also begin and end outside of the city centre, for example in the Omval or Nieuwe Meer in North Amsterdam or at a location along the Amstel River such as Oudekerksplein, Nes or Uithoorn.
