New lustre for ‘Lady of Amstel’

Us knows us; fortunately, we don’t have to explain to you who the “Lady of Amstel” is. You may have already sailed in this beautiful lady, for a luxurious cruise on Amstel and Vecht. It is one of our shipping company’s four classic salon boats. The “Lady” is our largest, and the largest in Amsterdam.

And now also our finest! Over the past few months, we have renovated the interior. Remaining is the authentic glossy mahogany paneling. Piloted in is the new furniture and pleasant cushions. Interior designer Myrthe Stam of Co van der Horst (Amstelveen Design Village) signed on for the refit. Starting point: preserving classic values and providing them with high-end styling.

The chairs, for example, are an interpretation of the classic bistro chair. Lovely relaxed sitting. Fabrics with a classic floral design were used for the upholstery. The overall interior has a new dynamic.

Co van der Horst
More than 110 years of experience, craftsmanship and the passion of the family business define the character of Co van der Horst. Great-grandfather Co van der Horst started in household textiles in 1905. The now 4th generation is now at the helm of the Amstelveen Design Village. Co van der Horst is now a purveyor to the court and is associated with well-known design names and exclusive niche brands.
