On Sunday, August 24, 2025, the tall-ships will sail out of the port of Amsterdam again. And that will be a beautiful spectacle! On this day you can reserve your spot aboard our steamship Succes or aboard one of our salon boats. So you can wave goodbye to the ships from the best spot!

Package 1: Steamship Success including 6 course walking dinner

It will be a long afternoon of enjoyment with a 6 course walking dinner, delicious drinks and happy people. For € 249 p.p. you can be there. This amount includes VAT, walking dinner and free bar.

Program

1:30 p.m.
Reception on board at Royal Huisman in Zaandam.

14:00
Welcome by the captain. Afterwards we leave the harbor towards the SAIL area. Along the way a 6 course walking dinner will be served and you will be provided with unlimited drinks.

2:30 p.m.
The Sail Out parade begins. The tall ships leave the IJhvaen one by one and sail up the North Sea Canal, accompanied by an armada of ships. You will sail along in this fantastic “SAIL-OUT. Along the route hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts stand to watch the whole thing from a distance.

6:30 p.m.
A slow course is set toward Zaandam.

19:00
The captain moors in Zaandam and the crew says goodbye.

Package 2: Coffee cruise on salon boat from 't Kromhout Museum

Start Sunday nice and early and sail in peace among some of the largest and most beautiful sailing ships in the world. While you relax with a cup of fresh coffee or tea, you will sail right through the SAIL area. You will come face to face with impressive Tall Ships and experience the atmosphere of this unique maritime event from the water. It is the way to start the morning in a special way. You can be there for € 99 p.p.

Program

08:30 a.m.
Reception at Museum ‘t Kromhout on the Hoogte Kadijk in Amsterdam.

9 a.m.
You will embark aboard the salon boat. Afterwards, the ship will set sail for the SAIL area.

10:00 a.m.
There will be a round trip through the IJ harbor past all the tall-ships. This promises to be an unforgettable experience. Drinks and homemade delicacies will be served on board.

11:00 a.m.
The ship sets sail again toward Museum ‘t Kromhout.

11:30 a.m.
End of program. You are back at Museum ‘t Kromhout.

Four days of celebration in the city

Sail Amsterdam 2025 will last for 5 days: the starting signal will be given with the Sail In on Wednesday, Aug. 20. On this day, the tall ships will be welcomed in IJmuiden after which, festively accompanied by ships and small vessels, they will sail across the North Sea Canal to the IJhaven. The following days are festive in Amsterdam, each night ending grandly with fireworks over the IJ River. Sunday 24 August is the last (official) day of Sail.

If you want to take a boat trip during these four days, we have several packages for you. On Aug. 20, the day of Sail In, you can set sail with the tall ships. On several days we offer coffee cruises, afternoon cruises, drinks boats and evening cruises through the Sail area, with the fireworks at night. On 24 August, you can take part in the Sail Out Parade with one of our salon boats, our steamship Succes or Lemsteraak Grote Jager.
