Nature, villas and water sports

A trip on the Loosdrechtse Plassen takes you through a beautiful and varied area. The cruising route begins in Oud-Loosdrecht, the water sports mecca of the Netherlands. From there, we sailed south toward Muyenveld where the most beautiful villas are located on the waterfront. Then we set course for Breukeleveen and the Kievietsbuurt and sailed on Kalverstraat. Via Eiland Bijltje we return to Oud-Loosdrecht.

The five lakes

The first to the fifth ponds form one continuous whole. The first and second ponds are located southwest of Oud-Loosdrecht. The third, fourth and fifth pools are again below the second pool. The boundaries between the different ponds are formed by some islets and reeds.
Artificial islands have been created for water sports, including Markus Pos, Robinson Crusoe, Geitekaai and Meent. These islets also protect the banks of the ponds from wave action.
The Loosdrechtse Plassen can be reached from the Vecht: the second lake via the Westelijke Drecht with the Mijnden lock, the third lake via the Weersloot.

Herons and bogs

Breukeleveen Lake or Silent Lake is populated by a colony of purple herons. The Weersloot area on the east side of the lake is a special bog area. Unfortunately, the Breukeleveense Plas is only accessible via two narrow, shallow waters with limited headroom: the Kostverlorenvaart from the third lake and the Weersloot from the fourth lake.

Tract holes and legacies

The Kievits neighborhoods are two large legacies in the southwest corner of the Loosdrecht lakes. These areas are characterized by the alternation of water, draft holes and legacies, the pieces of land on which the excavated bog was laid out to dry. Recreational homes have been built on many of these legacies.
The Kievits neighborhoods are separated from the fourth and fifth lakes by Kalver Street, one of the busiest waterways in the area. Along the northern side of the Kievits neighborhoods runs the Weersloot that connects the third lake to the Vecht. Boating opportunities in the southern Kievits neighborhood are limited.

The beautiful Vuntus

East of the Loenderveense Plas and north of the village of Oud-Loosdrecht is still the Vuntus. Next to this small pond is a low bog with unusual birds and plants, including orchids and round sundew. The Vuntus pond is only accessible from the first Loosdrechtse Plas, for very low boats. Our salon boats are not allowed to sail there.

You can take our Christmas cruise along the Amsterdam Light Festival on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Which of our four boats we use depends on the size of your party.

     Transfer voor een bruiloft
Voor een bruiloft heb ik bij Rederij Belle 2 schepen ingezet voor de transfer van de gasten. Het reserveringsproces verliep soepel en het contact was goed. Ook op de dag zelf lagen de schepen er spik en span bij. Goede schippers, kortom een aanrader wanneer je luxe vervoer wilt.

     Zakelijk jubileum op "De Succes" een groot succes!
In verband met een zakelijk jubileum hadden we "De Succes" gehuurd voor een mooie dag op het water met medewerkers en klanten. Het schip was prachtig, de mensen buitengewoon vriendelijk en de catering was goed verzorgd. We hebben een hele geslaagde dag gehad!

     Geweldige bootsvaart gehad tijden de drukke Pride
Geweldige tour gehad tijdens de Canal Pride met Maarten als schipper! Wij hadden het ons niet beter kunnen voorstellen met onze internationale groep van 13 man aan boort van de Emma. Hij heeft ons overal naartoe gebracht waar wij uit wilden stappen en heeft ons de mooiste verhalen verteld. De hapjes an drankjes waren top! Zeer zeker aan te raden!

     Wonderful experience and a magical wedding day
We booked the beautiful Belle van Zuylen for our small wedding party. During the process, we have been in touch with a couple of very friendly staff who have helped organized a boat viewing first and then later everything for the wedding party. Throughout the process they have been very proactive and helpful and answered all questions very quickly. On the day the captain and hostess met us with enthusiasm and were very attentive towards our guests. Our captain even worked together with the maid of honor to organize a special route for a surprise and our hostess made an extra effort to present the wedding cake and drinks beautifully decorated with some flowers. It was the perfect location for our wedding and can only recommend booking with Rederij Belle both privately and for a business outing. Thanks so much for everything :)

     Ervaring op lemsteraak De Grote Jager
Als kleine familie hebben wij met 11 personen op de lemsteraak De Grote Jager gevaren. Al vóór de tocht merkten wij de servicegerichtheid vanuit de kantoororganisatie. En ook tijdens de vaartocht bleken de schipper en zijn bootsman geweldige gastheren te zijn.

     80 jarige verjaardag van Opa
De vaartocht was geweldig met een bijzonder aardige schipper Rogier en een top gastvrouw Marijke op de prachtige antieke salonboot ‘Emma’ . De luxe broodjes lunch met kinderen was niet zo’n sukses. De volgende keer zou ik proberen met de schipper een afspraak te maken om onderweg aan de grachten aan te leggen bij een top hamburger restaurant en voor de kleinkinderen en ouders en grootouders een culinaire hamburger af te halen. Dan was het helemaal subliem geweest!

     Mooie ervaring
Wij hebben begin januari gevaren met de Belle van Zuylen met een select gezelschap van 12 mensen. Zeer aardige kapitein en hostess. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening. Eten is echt een aanrader !

     Absolute Aanrader voor een Uniek Evenement!!
Wij hebben ons huwelijk op de Dame van Amstel gevierd. We waren met 42 man en hebben van het begin tot het eind een hele goede ervaring gehad. Bovenal is het een prachtige boot, erg ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is een goed geluids systeem en de bediening was erg aardig en behulpzaam. Het voor-traject ging ook erg goed. De boeking ging soepel, het afstemmen van de details met de mensen op kantoor was prettig (ik heb meerdere keren gebeld met verschillende mensen, zij waren allen goed op de hoogte) en ze kwamen zelfs eerder naar de boot om te helpen bij de versiering. Een absolute aanrader voor een uniek evenement!!
