Sailing on the IJsselmeer in a traditional lemsteraak or clipper is pre-eminently the ideal family day. We sail our ship on the water and visit the most beautiful towns and villages on this inland sea of the Netherlands. Although our lemsteraak (clipper) is built for fast racing, of course, it doesn’t always have to be fast. For a family day, we customize the speed to suit your needs.

Shipping Company Belle has been organizing sailing trips for large and small families for years, led by our skipper and his regular companion. For your family day sailing, you can create your own day program consisting of sailing and doing things on the mainland.
Our sailboat can accommodate 22 people so anything is possible. Should you wish to sail with more than 22 people, we can divide the number of people over several boats.
The family day sailing on a ship from Rederij Belle is also suitable for children. Shipping Belle provides safe children’s life jackets during this day so that children can move freely on the boat.
We stand for a safe family day on our sailboat for all children on board.
If anyone in your family would like to help on board you can always do so. Our crew will be happy to explain how everything works. You may even take the helm occasionally while sailing if you wish.
When you organize a family day sailing aboard a beautiful ship, you want to be sure the day is successful. As already mentioned, you may compose your day yourself but you can also do so in consultation with us.

We can provide you with the best catering on board our sailing ship during the family day sailing. Whatever type of menu you desire, we will provide it, for you and your guests. These include catering options on our sailboat. But above all, ask about the possibilities and specify your own wishes.
Our on-board barbecue is also a hit with your guests. It is delicious food and pure relaxation. Everything is possible on our sailboat. You ask and we provide it with love. We think with you in everything.
| 10:00 | Reception by the crew with coffee or tea and homemade treats. The skipper keeps a welcoming speech and tells about the sailing ship. |
| 10:30 | The mooring lines break loose for your sailing trip. Along the way you will pass the Muiderslot and the Royal Muiden Marina. |
| 11:00 | The sails are hoisted. If you like it you can help the skipper hoist sails, steering and navigation. |
| 12:30 | A delicious culinary lunch of your choice will be served in the cockpit. We take into account all kinds of different dietary patterns. Please indicate dietary requirements to us in advance and we will accommodate them. |
| 13:00 | If there is sufficient wind, it is possible to make a stopover in Marken or Volendam for a walk on “The Dike. If there is less wind, you can visit the Fort Island Pampus (part of the “Stelling van Amsterdam”). Pampus is very popular with people. The proverb “I’m lying for Pampus” relates to that, of course. Volendam and Marken have also been very popular with our guests lately. |

You will make the family day sailing trip along the most beautiful spots of the IJsselmeer. But of course, you can also spice up the family sailing trip with an active outing.
As an alternative to the day program, you can also sail in the evening. Together with your family, you will then sail the IJsselmeer in the evening. At night it is a little windier on the lake but you also get a lot in return. You watch the sun sink into the lake along with the most important people in your life. An evening family sailing trip takes 4 to 5 hours. This can be done with or without a barbecue.
You can rent this sailboat for a full day, half-day/evening or a two-day sailing trip where you stay overnight in a hotel. We book the hotel for you.
Our sailing ship Lemsteraak Grote Jager has her berth at Herengracht t/o 43 in Muiden. A short walk from the berth are two large (free) parking lots. You cannot park on the Herengracht, but you can load/unload.

From both parking lots, follow the hiking trails to “Ferry Pampus.” The Great Hunter is located near the ferry service.

Sailing fee per hour €135.00. Prices include skipper and sailor and do not include hotel and VAT. It doesn’t matter which route we sail. Should we divert to e.g. Marken or Volendam then there is no additional cost.
