Early morning in the ’IJ haven’. The sailors are already gearing up for work on many of the ships but it’s still fairly quiet – a perfect moment to have a look around.
Sail Amsterdam is the largest public event in the Netherlands, counting on more than two million visitors in five days. So sometimes it can be a little busy. A way of getting round the bustle of people and boats is to take a cruise in the morning hours.
You can sail on one of our luxury saloon boats alongside the Windjammers and other traditional sailing ships moored in the ‘IJ haven’. You have plenty of time to view them up close whilst our crew takes care of coffee and tea or other refreshments.
The event of Sail Amsterdam expanded considerably in 2015. This same will no doubt apply in 2020, but whatever new developments, the Tall Ships remain the main crowd pullers. You just have to see them! Come aboard and sail with us!
You and your party will be received at Museum ‘t Kromhout in Amsterdam with coffee or tea. This historic museum shipyard is the perfect nautical begin for your boat trip
Once your party is complete, you embark on one of the saloon boats. On board we serve coffee and tea with homemade delicacies. Throughout the entire trip our hostesses provide drinks and snacks and make sure that you lack for nothing.
The boat is cast off and we set sail for the ‘IJ haven’ and Sail Amsterdam via the Nieuwe Herengracht and the Oosterdok. Your cruise will take you past all the Tall Ships.
End of the programme and we moor once more at the Kromhout shipyard.
